George A. Metzenthin
George A. Metzenthin has been practicing
intellectual property law since 1996. Mr. Metzenthin specializes in patent
prosecution and licensing, with a particular emphasis in computer software,
hardware, business methods, medical devices and surgical techniques. Mr.
Metzenthin regularly counsels clients regarding the global protection of
their intellectual property and his familiarity with a wide variety of
scientific and engineering disciplines enables him to understand, prepare
and prosecute applications for his clients' innovations. Mr. Metzenthin
works closely with his clients to help them identify their intellectual
property and develop strategies to build and utilize their technology. Mr.
Metzenthin regularly lectures at various U.S. Army medical and research
facilities on patent law and intellectual property involving government
employees.
Prior to joining Cahn & Samuels in
1998, Mr. Mezenthin worked in private practice in
the areas of civil litigation and intellectual property.
Mr. Metzenthin received his Juris Doctor from Case Western Reserve
University where he
was the Publishing Editor of the Case Western Reserve Journal of
International Law. Mr. Metzenthin also graduated cum laude from Case
Western Reserve with Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and
Applied Physics with a Minor in Economics. While an undergraduate student,
Mr. Metzenthin was admitted to Tau Beta Pi.
